Rates
I specialize in computerized edge-to-edge quilting and also offer quilt trimming and binding for your quilt.
Price: 2.5 cents per square inch. A quilt top measuring 45 inches x 60 inches = 2,700 x 2.5 = 67.50 + Batting
Patterns vary in price. Most pantographs cost .025 per square inch. Depending on the complexity of the design, some might have a slightly higher price per square inch.
An edge-to-edge pantograph is all over quilt design that is stitched row by row where the pattern nests together to give a beautiful, completed look to your quilt.
$50 Minimum
Quilt top and backing should be pressed well so seams lie flat. (Lessens the chance of pleats or tucks)
Quilt back – The fewer the seams the better! On Straight grain, not bias. No Sheets. All 4 sides must be “squared off” with straight even edges. Must be 8” larger than the quilt top. Press well to remove creases and ensure that seams lie flat
**If I have to seam, square and iron the backing, there will be a minimum charge of $20.00
Batting: Hobbs 80 cotton/20 poly blend $.036 per linear inch/$13.00 yard. You may supply your own high quality batting, Please contact me first to be sure if its suitable. Not Fairfield or Mountain Mist, please. Must be 8” larger than the quilt top
*** Please note that the backing and batting must be at least 8” larger than the quilt.
Thread
To cover the cost of the thread I charge $1.50 per bobbin.
I stock So-Fine 50 threads. I typically match the top and bottom thread with the lighter colors of your quilt unless you have a specific color in mind.
Binding
Includes trimming and squaring of quilt.
Machine Stitched – One side only. (Client provides binding) .15 linear inch. Binding is stitched on the front side and client can hand stitch to the back
Machine Stitched – Double sided (Client provides binding) .30 linear inch. Binding is stitched on the front side and then folded over and machine stitched to the back side.
If Client provides material and I create the binding – And machine sew double sided – .40 linear inch
